Nadia

The horse of a lifetime. My absolute heart horse. Louies momma. Living unicorn. I had met Nadia while working for Sarah Kress, a dressage trainer out of Eugene Oregon. I knew to expect new horses the morning I met Nadia but I was not expecting what I met. Nadia put her head out her stall door and I absolutely melted. If I think of her too deeply it's easy for tears to come- she just touches my heart. Nadia was given to me a few years later by Therese Morris and Alexis Young. I had no idea what I had done to deserve her and I felt like the luckiest human that ever lived. Nadia has been the best thing to ever come into my life. I'm uncomfortably sentimental and raw with her. I don't know what it is about her but she just melts away anything bad and brings out everything in me that feels real. I have put off even writing this because it is so difficult to be in that space and operate like a functional human being. She took me to so many places, both physically and emotionally, that I only had dreamed of before her coming into my life. She is retired, living as a companion with my friend Tory Kelly's beautiful mare Diva. She gets to live out on a pasture but comes in at night and has a pretty regular schedule which she really loves. She will be with us as long as she feels comfortable and happy.
